In order to adequately house her dental practice, the existing building size had to be increased.  Dr. Jakubus proposed an addition and renovation of the existing building that preserved distinctive façades facing Minnehaha Ave to the west and 46th Street to the South.   The addition would extend to the north, covering the existing concrete masonry façade and creating a stucco façade with large windows, facing north and east.  The existing building facades facing the intersection would be modified by replacing the existing awning fabric with new fabric containing signage that identifies a dental practice instead of a coffee shop.
